New Delhi: 'Khaidi', featuring Sahasa Simha Vishnuvardhan, which was released decades back in 1984, will be re-released on November 15. Following Vishnu's supporters' demand, the decision was taken to re-release the film. Directed by KSR Das, 'Khaidi' was produced by GRK Raju under Vishwachitra Productions.
The film was primarily the remake of Telugu hit 'Khaidi' which featured Chiranjeevi, Madhavi, Sumalatha and Rao Gopal Rao in key roles. Later, the film was also remade in Hindi with Jitendra playing the male lead. Interestingly, actress Madhavi played the lead role in all the versions of the movie.
Khaidi also found several takers for its soulful music. The track 'Taale hoova podeyinda Bus bus' featuring Vishnuvardhan and Madhavi was one of the popular songs of the film.
