THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 67-year-old bunk shop owner, accused of abusing school children, was arrested by the Aryanad Police on Saturday. The accused, Prabhakaran Pillai, runs a two-room shop near the Aryanad Upper Primary School. He has been charged with luring boys and girls of the Aryanad UPS into his shop offering sweets and then screening pornographic films for them in a small dingy room inside his shop. And while screening the films, Prabhakaran has been accused of sexually exploiting the children. A case against him was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the school principal and the PTA representatives. Prabhakaran had been missing for the past two days. Police sources said the accused closed his shop and went underground after he realised that he was under the police scanner. A team led by Aryanad Sub-Inspector Rajendran Nair nabbed Prabhakaran from the Kattakada bus depot on Saturday.
