THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: L Vanajakshy Amma, 82, mother of Speaker G Karthikeyan, died at her residence in Varkala on Monday. She is the wife of the late N P Gopala Pillai.She is survived by sons G Sajeev, G Sunil (Chirayinkeezhu Block office), G Sumahan (KAL Neyyattinkara), G Satheesh and daughter G Sindhu. Her sons G Suresh, G Sabu and G Santhosh had predeceased her. Her daughters-in-law are M T Sulekha (Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University), Ammini, Sobha, Prasanna, Laly, Sujatha (Devaswom Board), Kumari and son-in-law G Ramesh (Brilliance College, Kozhikode).The cremation was held at 4 pm.
