KOCHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday submitted before the Ernakulam NIA Special Court that the agency couldn’t trace Pakistan national Wali, the mastermind in the Kashmir recruitment case. The submission was made before Judge S Vijayakumar.“Wali is hiding somewhere in PoK. The other accused Muhammad Sabir is also absconding. We were unable to execute the proclamation and the attachment order in accordance with the code of criminal procedure,” NIA submitted, while asking for splitting up the duo from the chargesheet and to start trial against the other accused. The court accepted the plea of NIA and split up the case. Of the total 24 accused in the case, eleven who were involved in the Bangalore blast case were brought to Kochi from Bangalore Central Jail. They were brought under tight security. Abdul Jaleel, M H Faisal, Thadiyantavide Naseer, P Mujeeb, Shafas, Ibrahim Moulavi, Badaruddin, Abdul Jabbar, Sabir Buhari, Umar Farooq, Sarfraz Navas were the accused who were brought from Bangalore. The court permitted the accused to talk to their relatives. The accused were then taken to Viyyur central jail and will be taken back to Bangalore Central Jail on Wednesday. The court adjourned the case to November 7.There are a total of 24 accused in the case, including four Malayalees killed in Kashmir. The accused have been charged with anti-national activities, waging war against the nation, possession of weapons and acts of sabotage. The prime accused in the case is Abdul Jaleel, native of Edakkad in Kannur, and the second accused is Thadiyantavide Naseer, who is also a  prime accused in several other terrorist cases. The 24th accused Wali is reportedly a Pakistan citizen.The chargesheet said that Abdul Jaleel along with other accused, operating in and out of Kerala, and allegedly having links with terrorist organisations, recruited youngsters for Jehadi training in Pakistan thereby assisting Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) for waging war against the India. Four Keralites - Fayas, Abdul Rahim, Mohammed Yasin and Fayis, who were recruited were killed in an encounter with security forces.
