CHENNAI: DMK leader MK Stalin’s hospitalisation and the subsequent angiogram test has fortified rumours that he might be suffering from some heart-related illness, as an angiogram is used to detect blockages in blood vessels. Surprisingly, there was no buzz outside the SRMU hospital, where Stalin was treated. The lack of party cadre, aides or any crowd was noticeable.A party source said, “Most people did not even go to Arivalayam because Kalaignar himself was not expected to come.”Doctors, however, chose to keep silent and said there was nothing wrong with the 63-year-old politician. It may be recalled that Stalin had been travelling to England at least twice a year to undergo treatment for cysts in the lungs. The last time he went abroad was on September 4 this year. Party sources said DMK chief M Karunanidhi himself had undergone a check-up on Friday morning, following which he called on Stalin at SRMU in the evening.
