Haryana Govt won't let the Indian kabaddi players' contributions go unrecognised, after having won gold at Asiad.

New Delhi: The Indian kabaddi players brought a gold for the country to boost the Indian medal tally at the Asian Games in Doha, and the Haryana Government won't let their contributions go unrecognised.

The Haryana Government will transform the villages of the gold medal winners into model villages to honour their achievement earlier this year.

Under this initiative, Makroli Kalan in Rohtak district, Kirmara in Hisar, Chamarkhera in Fatehabad and Adampur and Dhadi in Bhiwasni would be made model villages, Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh said on Friday.

The remodelling of these villages includes the modern health and sanitation and education facilities. The initiative though, will be brought about in a phased manner. Each house and streets in the respective villages will have their own addresses too.

Dharambir Singh also said that Haryana Choef Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced Rs 25 crore for the developmental work to be carried out across 18 villages.
