Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) is efficient and capable enough to take on the ultra outfits in the state, Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand, Rajeev Kumar on Friday said in Medininagar.
JAP is efficient and capable to fight the ultra and naxal groups in the state and can produce better results if co-ordination between JAP and other wings of state police is improved, Kumar, who was in Lesligunj to take part in passing out parade of JAP jawans in Palamau district, told newsmen.
The DGP said JAP can take on the naxalites and other ultra outfits on its own without the help of anyone. A meeting between the officials of JAP and other wings of state police at regular interval was needed to improve the co-ordination among them, he said.
We have framed a strategy to deploy JAP in jungles affected by the naxal menace as well as rural pockets of the state, the DGP said while emphasising the need for better training. Kumar said we plan to set up a police training academy in the state soon to provide better training to our personnel.
