Jaipur Development Authority has forfeited Rs 200 crore deposited with it by a firm after it failed to pay the total amount for land purchased in an auction, sources said.
The firm had purchased 15,000 sq mt of land worth Rs 235 crore in Jaipur in an auction in 2012. It had deposited Rs 200 crore but the remaining Rs 35 crore was not paid despite several reminders sent to its Kolkata address, sources said. The JDA forfeited the amount after there was no response from the company, sources said.
