HYDERABAD: Erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi on Tuesday alleged that some Jagan loyalist legislators tried to win over his MLAs before voting on the noconfidence motion against the Congress government tabled by Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday night.Speaking to mediapersons here, he said the Jagan camp also tried to woo some Telangana Congress MLAs by promising to get them TRS tickets in next elections if they voted against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. The Congress leader said: "I do not know how they made this strange offer. May be they have some understanding with the TRS. This ticket offer made me wonder if YSR Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy is in league with the TRS."As regards the violation of the party whip by B Shobha Nagireddy, he said disqualification proceedings would be initiated against her. "It is for the Assembly speaker to take a decision on the proceedings," he said, hoping that it would be done soon in accordance with the rules that govern disqualification of an MLA.Chiranjeevi said he was happy that he could keep his word that he would save the Congress government if Jagan tried to pull it down. "I have done what I have been saying," he said, reiterating that his stand in such a situation would be no different in future also.
