A three-day training in the art will be inaugurated by City Police Commissioner Sunil Jacob on Friday at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, at 10 am.Training can be taken up by anyone aged above five. It is targeted at school and college students, police, military personnel and those interested in martial arts. Law enforcement training, civilian training, aviation protection training, women self-defence training, children self defence, VVIP security, SPF command training will be offered from 10 am to 5 pm by Delhi-based Krav Maga chief instructor in the country, Vikky Kapoor.They will be taught how to tackle real life situation and the nuances of knife defence, rifle defence, stick defence among other techniques.“This is easy to learn and adapt and build  natural and human reflexes. You can learn no-holds barred moves in a realistic environment and high-level of skill can be attained within a short period,” said Rajan Varghese, Department of Physical Education, SH College who has been trained under Vikky and has been training students in this art form for the past two years.He said Krav Maga incorporates modern realistic reenactments to help students learn how to operate under stress. Nothing is ritual or choreographed as it relies on continuous motion. It is a hybrid of mixed martial art techniques including boxing, karate, judo, jujitso, Muay Thai.
