A mix of big budget films as well as Indies will be releasing in the coming months. Here are our top 10 picks.

While first half of 2014 was dominated by new stars and small budget films, second half of the year will see the film releases of big budget films featuring superstars. There are also some critically acclaimed Indies lined up for a commercial release in the later part of the year.

Here are 10 films to look out for in the coming months.

Mardaani- We miss Rani Mukherjee. Pity that the actress doesn't do much films now. But post wedding Mukherjee is all set to thrill her fans with a power packed performance in Pradeep Sarcar's 'Mardaani' where she will play a super-cop. The film will be theatres from 22 August.

Crossing Bridges- One of those rare films from the North East which might get a pan- India release, 'Crossing Bridges' has already won the Rajat Kamal for Direction in the 61st National Film Award. It is the first film in the Sherdukpen language of Arunachal Pradesh and is due for its theatrical release by PVR Director's Rare on 29th August. Directed by Sange Dorjee the film gives a strong message about the threat a community faces of fading into oblivion due to nation-wide standardization of lived cultures.

Qissa- The film's lead actors Irrfan Khan and Tilotamma Shome have already been earning awards and praises at various international film festivals. Directed by Anup Singh the film is set in the partition era where a father is forced to raise his fourth daughter as a son who gets married to a woman later in life. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 1 September.

Mary Kom- Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced 'Mary Kom' will have Priyanka Chopra playing the famous boxer. Priyanka, who has already proved her acting prowess in films like 'Fashion', 'Barfi!' has undergone training for the role. The film releases on 5 September.

Finding Fanny- The trailers received stupendous responses and Homi Adajania's quirky English film is all set to release on 12 September. The film has five goofy characters embarking on a journey to find a certain Fanny Fernandez. Featuring veterans like Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Dimple Kapadia along with Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor, this comic film promises to be entertaining.

Ugly- Anurag Kashyap's psychological thriller was showcased at Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and received positive response at other international film festivals. Featuring Ronit Roy, Rahul Bhatt, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Surveen Chawla in key roles, the film is about a missing child. The film was supposed to release in late 2013 but will finally release on 19 September.

Charfutiya Chokare- The film might fade amid big releases but the story is full of hope. Soha Ali Khan, the social drama deals with child marriage, illiteracy, child trafficking and crime amongst young adults. Directed by Manish Harishankar, the film will be releasing in theaters on 26th September.

Haider- Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor team up yet again after the stupendous success of 'Kaminey' for the screen adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'. The film boasts of an enviable star cast with Tabu, Irrfan Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon playing key roles with Shahid playing the title role of Haider. The film will be releasing in theaters on 2 October.

Happy New Year- Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan bury their past differences and team up for 'Happy New Year'. A heist film, it has SRK, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah playing thieves. Needless to say, the film releases during Diwali this year.

PK- Aamir Khan has already grabbed eyeballs by posing nude on the first poster of 'PK'. While the story is closely guarded, rumours have it that Khan will be playing an alien in the film. Co-starring Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput, this Rajkumar Hirani film will be releasing on 19 December.

Bombay Velvet- Anurag Kashyap directs Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in 'Bombay Velvet'- a period film on Bombay in the 1960s. Interestingly Karan Johar plays a negative character in the film.

Titli- Kanu Behl's 'Titli' has already won laurels at Cannes Film Festival this year. Produced by YRF and Dibakar Banerjee the film features Ranvir Shorey and Shashank Arora in lead roles. The film is set in Delhi and narrates the story of a young boy who is desperate to break away from his family's illegal business. The film is expected to release at the end of year.
