Inzamam’s hearing postponed
Inzamam's hearing, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed due to ICC's chief match referee's absence.

New Delhi: Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq's disciplinary hearing, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed because of a family illness suffered by the ICC's chief match referee, Ranjan Madugalle, according to the BBC.

Madugalle's sister has been suffering from cancer and surgery hasn't gone very well, although the ICC is yet to confirm the delay, Madugalle is still in Colombo and unlikely to reach London in time for the hearing.

The BBC has also reported that the one-day series may now go ahead as planned as Inzaman's lawyer was also keen to have more time to prepare a defence.

On the other hand ICC seems to be in no mood to give in to Pakistan's insistence that they will not play a match under umpire Darrell Hair anymore.

ICC chief executive Malcom Speed on Wednesday said that Pakistan will have no right to veto the appointment of Hair in future matches and that ICC is not willing to change its process of appointing officials.
