Stories of people coming together to save institutions and businesses never fail to bring a smile to our faces. A similar case is being reported by Local18 Karnataka, where a headmaster took the initiative to renovate an his school, which was about to face closure and had just 3 students. According to Local18, the school, located in Sirsi taluk, had been dormant for five years and now is a fully functioning institution, thanks to the head teacher. Two teachers are now employed at the place, while 26 children have taken admission. It consists of classes first to fifth, more information states.
The head teacher named Arun Bhat arrived here around 5 years ago. As per Local18, Arun received help from parents, gram panchayat and donors, through which he was able to transform the school entirely. They painted the old walls, filled the walls with proverbs and gave the property a touch of Warli art. It provides digital education, stated Local18.
To celebrate the institution, the students planted more than 25 varieties of plants along with coconut saplings. It was a kind of symbol of love by the students towards the school. They planted vegetables like tondi, bitter gourd, beans, meter beans, tubers, tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, okra, groundnut, arecanut, coconut, buttermilk grass, radish, pepper and more. These will be used to prepare meals for the kids.
Local18 shared an exclusive clip, which recorded the institution’s striking transformation. The classroom is a place to admire, decorated at the back with educational charts and framed photographs of our freedom fighters. It is followed by a clip of the playing area installed with a huge slide, swings and a seesaw. The students are captured engaged in their activities, going around each of the rides. It also showed the lush vegetable cultivation in the institution, while the children are being taught through it.
