Panaji: The film bazaar, organised by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), had Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi speaking about script writing.
A delightful session by Raj Kumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi as they spoke about the art and science of script writing to an audience that comprised of media persons, film-makers and students.
The duo called their session, The recipes of script writing, which included 'Make the movie for yourself'', 'Ask your non-film friends for feedback', 'Never lock the script' etc. Hirani and Joshi regaled the audience with quips and fun incidents during the making of each of their films. They also screened some of the scenes from Munnabhai MBBS and 3 Idiots and spoke in detail about how they developed each scene, draft after draft.
Hirani spoke about the climax scene of 3 Idiots, "For which I got a lot of bashing", he said in good humour. He emphasised on the fact that for the climax of the film, which involved a delivery scene, he had consulted a team of gynecologists, but in spite of that he received a lot of flak for it.
