Hyderabad eatery dishes out goodies even after blast
After three weeks of the blast, Gokul Chaat was back in business.

Hyderabad: The night of August 26, 2007 saw twin terror strikes in Hyderabad.

One at the Lumbini Park and the other at Gokul Chaat, one of the most popular eateries in the city.

The blood and mayhem traumatised the people of the city, but just over a year later life at Gokul Chaat has moved on.

Partner-Owner, Gokul Chaat Prem Chand says no matter how many terror attacks there may be, they will not yield to the pressure and the people will keep coming to their shop.

Within three weeks of the blasts Gokul Chaat was back in business along with the regular crowds.

The customers are regular visitors to the chaat house despite blasts because of the mouthwatering specialties that they dish out.

However, the owners are no longer taking any chances with security.

The shop now has a door frame metal detector and 4 security guards search every customer before letting them in.

Although the crowd is back and so is the college banter, but there is a subtle sense of fear that lies hidden and maybe forgotten in the hearts of all those who visit Gokul Chaat.

Life definitely has moved on here though with hesitant steps.
