Barring Udaipur, where the mercury was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature ranged between 40 to 44 degrees Celsius at all places including Ajmer, Pilani, Kota, Chittorgarh, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner, the report said.

People in Jaipur experienced hot and humid weather as mercury touched 43.2 degrees Celsius.

No major change in existing weather conditions is expected in next 24 hours in the state, a forecast said.
