Gowda has hand in Lokayukta Report

BANGALORE: Continuing his offensive against Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde, Excise Minister M P Renukacharya on Saturday accused the latter of playing into the hands of Congress and JD (S) leaders in order to embarrass the outgoing Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.“Going by the harsh language used against Yeddyurappa, it looks like the report was written with the help of JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and some Congress leaders,” Renukacharya addressed the media outside the CM’s residence.He said the timing of the release of the final report was important and it might be a part of a deep-rooted conspiracy to destabilise the BJP-ruled government.“Everyone knows the JD(S) and the Congress have been trying to bring down the state government. By implicating Yeddyurappa on the issues which are already in courts, it looks like the Lokayukta Justice wanted to oblige the JD(S).” Renukacharya said he would explore the possibility of taking Justice Santosh Hegde to court, but backtracked immediately.
