HYDERABAD: The Department of Archaeology and Museums in Hyderabad received 73 more gold coins weighing 207.6 grams from the Mahabubnagar police on Monday.The Archaeology Department received 135 gold coins from the police on October 28.In all, 208 gold coins were received by the department.Briefing newsmen on Tuesday, P Chenna Reddy, director of Department of Archaeology and Museums, said the ancient gold coins were found in a copper vessel at Kakugotla village in Manupodu mandal of Mahabubnagar district recently.The police recovered the gold coins from some agricultural labourers who found them while they were working in the fields of Mallepogu Bhaskar.After cleaning the gold coins with chemicals, the coins will be put on display in YSR AP State Museum.
