HYDERABAD: A former Indian Air Force (IAF) employee, who allegedly planned subversive activities in the city and tried to procure weapons through the Pakistan Embassy in Nepal, was arrested by the city police on Tuesday.He was earlier arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police for passing on sensitive information related to the IAF to Pakistan military officials, police said.The accused, Mohd Abbas alias Abbas (49) from Fazilpur in New Delhi, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) sleuths while he was moving near Toli Chowki and sent to judicial custody.Abbas worked in IAF as an air craftsman from 1987 to 1993.“He allegedly met Pakistan military officials, including the ISI and gave them some sensitive information of the IAF,” DCP of detective department J Sathyanarayana said.The J&K police sent him to prison where he met another accused in terror activities, Mujeeb Ahmed, a resident of Toli Chowki, who was also involved in the murder of additional superintendent of police Krishna Prasad in the city.After release, he and Mujeeb Ahmed allegedly hatched a plan to do some subversive activities in the city.
