BHUBANESWAR: Cutting short his Delhi trip, Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare on Tuesday returned to Orissa to take stock of the Baitarani flood which has wreaked havoc In Jajpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak districts. Bhandare, who made an aerial survey of the three flood-affected districts, was pained to see the plight of the victims and on his return to Bhubaneswar, he convened a meeting where he asked his office to coordinate with officials in charge of relief and restoration. Sufficient food and water must be made available to the flood- affected people, the Governor said. He also made a special emphasis on supply of baby food in the affected regions.
