Lucknow: In a shocking incident reported from Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, five people of a family died after allegedly consuming poisoned milk. District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have reached the spot along with Dog Squad and a Forensic Experts Team for further investigation of the case. The bodies have been sent for the post morterm.
The gruesome incident was reported from Benipur village in Jahanabad area of Pilibhit district where five people died allegedly after consuming poisoned milk on Tuesday. This includes three females of the family. As per reports all the family members had consumed milk a night before.
The deceased include Vegraj (60) who was the head of the famiy, Ramvati (50) wife of Vegraj, Namchand (32) son of Vegraj, Mullo Devi (28) daughter-in-law of Vegraj and Gayatri (26) daughter of Vegraj. The villagers informed the police on Tuesday morning when they learned about the death of five people of a family.
Reaching first on the spot, SP Valendu Bhushan Singh said, “Prima facie it seems the milk was poisoned which could be the reason for the death of all the five family members. Dog Squad and Forensic team are doing their job, relatives of the deceased family are also being inquired about the incident. We are hopeful that soon we will nab the culprits."
Meanwhile DM Akhilesh Mishra has also inspected the crime spot and has directed authorities to work-out the case as soon as possible.
