WARANGAL: "It has almost been one year since our MLA visited our constituency," said K Mallaiah, a farmer at Narasampet in the district. "Our MLA visits the place secretly, taking care not to be seen or recognised," said a woman worker in Jangon.
This is not true of just these two MLAs but almost all the MLAs from the district have stopped visiting their constituencies. In some cases they visit the constituencies secretly. With MLAs hardly visiting their segments, officials plan developmental programmes as per their wish.In the heat of the Telangana movement all the 12 MLAs from the district have stopped visiting their constituencies. The locals in Narasampet complained that they had never seen their MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy for two years. Station Ghanpur MLA Rajaiah, Mulugu MLA D Anasuya and Parakala MLA Konda Surekha were occasionally visiting their constituencies. Officials said that all these three MLAs were visiting their segments in a secret manner without much publicity.

Warangal MP Sircilla Rajaiah was hesitating even to participate in the Telangana movement. When he visited Mahabubabad recently along with another MP Balaram Naik they had to face the wrath of the people. The JAC activists obstructed their tour. As the public representatives were kept away from their segments, the administration in villages came to a halt. As the tenure of sarpanches, MPPs and MPTCS came to an end and the government staff are participating in the Sakala Janula Samme, the situation in villages deteriorated further. Officials are unable to manage the things in villages. People are suffering from viral fevers in the Agency areas.

Students and employees are participating in the Sakala Janula Samme. As of now, the man in the street is not participating in it. The JAC is organising processions, dharnas and rasta rokos across Telangana.
