Endurance test on June 15, 16

PUDUCHERRY: Candidates applying for the posts of assistant superintendent of jail and male warder would have to come good on two accounts - a physical endurance test and a written test According to a release from the jail department of the government of Puducherry, the physical endurance test (PET) will be held from 8 am to 6 pm on June 15 and 16 for the above posts. The venue for the same  is the Police Parade Ground.  Call letters and hall tickets have been sent to all the applicants for both the posts. Applicants, who have not received the call letters/hall tickets may contact the chief superintendent of jails at Committee Hall, Chief Secretariat, Puducherry. The release said that all eligible candidates have to satisfy the minimum physical standards and qualify for each stage of PET. Those who qualified would be allowed to sit for the written tests, which will be held on June 18 (for male warders) and June 19 (for assistant superintendent of jail). The venue for the written test is Vallalar Government Higher Secondary School, Lawspet with candidates having to answer multiple-choice questions. Arrangements have been made to provide question booklets in English clubbed individually  with Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
