Diarrhoea outbreak in Cuttack

CUTTACK: More than two dozen inmates of Cuttack Circle Jail at Choudwar were affected after an outbreak of diarrhoea in the prison on Wednesday. Two of them had to be admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital after their condition deteriorated. Sources said the number of the affected inmates was constantly rising. The prison authorities were attempting to check the source of the diarrhoea as well as the water supplied to the jail. The public health engineering officials too were called in while inmates were supplied halazone tablets.
