Roads and buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao is planning to go to Delhi and meet the AICC top brass soon to present his version on the charges levelled against him in the fourth chargesheet filed by the CBI in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assets case.
Sources close to Dharmana disclosed on Sunday that the minister decided to knock the door of the high command once again to explain his innocence in the allotment of lands for the Vanpic project.
Prasada Rao, who has done ample homework to counter the CBI’s charges by analysing the GOs issued by him as revenue minister in the YSR cabinet, is confident that he can convince the Congress high command that he had committed no wrong.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Congress leaders from Srikakulam district are also planning to visit Delhi on Tuesday or Wednesday to meet the high command in support of Dharmana.
PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana is also likely to leave for Delhi on Tuesday or Wednesday to discuss Dharmana’s issue with the high command. His visit was actually scheduled for Saturday but postponed it because the party’s state affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad is busy celebrating Ramzan.
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is awaiting a decision from the high command on Dharmana’s resignation, will send his report on the matter in a day or two.
