BANGALORE: A woman on being questioned over her alleged illicit affair, attacked her husband and his family members. The incident was reported at Shanthinagar in Nelamangala on the outskirts of the city.According to the police, Kumar had married Geetha, a few years ago and the latter allegedly had an illicit relationship with a man. The couple had fought over the issue on many occasions and recently Geetha had deserted Kumar in this connection.Geetha wanted to avenge this and allegedly went to Kumar’s home along with her family members on Monday night. They reportedly threw stones on the house and when Kumar, his brother Hanumantharaju and parents came out, Geetha assaulted all of them.However, it has been alleged that though they managed to catch Geetha and other attackers with the help of neighbours, the police later let them go.Kumar and Hanumantharaju have sustained wounds in the incident. A case has been registered in Nelamangala Rural police station in this connection.
