New Delhi: An RSS affiliate, associated with small scale industries, Laghu Udyog Bharti (LUB) has warned demonetisation may lead to negative impact both on industry and unorganised labour if cash crunch is not resolved soon.
LUB office bearers, led by its President Om Prakash Mittal, will be meeting Minister of State Finance and Corporate Affairs Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal in Delhi on Wednesday to apprise the government of their problems and seek remedial measures.
The meeting to be attended by a Finance Ministry bureaucrat will be the first of its kind between government representative and an RSS affiliate post note ban.
"We are not against demonetisation per se. But one must realise that most of the small scale industries employ labour which seeks weekly remuneration in cash. Small Scale Industries should be allowed to withdraw money to meet their expenditure and there should not be any limit attached to it," said Mittal.
Laghu Udyog Bharti has welcomed government's effort to shift to cashless economy but insist that the transformation should not be an event but a process.
"Labour does not accept money by cheque. Most of the migrant labour does not have bank accounts. These are practical problems we are facing. The realty sector is worst hit," said Mittal.
