Cycle rally as part of Car-free Day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Energy Conservation Society (ECS) will organise a cycle rally from Kasargod on Friday as part of the International Car-free Day observed on September 22. The rally will be flagged off by Thrikaripur MLA K Kunjiraman at Udiyannur High School, Kasargod.As many as 1,500 students in the village will take part in the rally to propagate the message about the need for energy conservation. The rally will reach Thiruvananthapuram on September 22, which is also the National Cycle Day, after propagating the message in Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alapuzha and Kollam. The valedictory function of the rally will be organised at the Institution of Engineers hall, Vellayambalam.
