New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj hit out at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the coal scam and said that the entire scam has become more or like a television serial where more and more episodes are being run. "Coalgate has become TV serial where one after another episode is coming. Every second day in parliament this issue was raised," said BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.
Swaraj, who was addressing a press conference along with party colleague Arun Jaitley, said that her party will continue to raise the issue in the streets as well. "Parliament is over but we will raise this issue on roads now," said Swaraj.
Arun Jaitley also hit out at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not appearing before the Joint Parliamentary Committee for his explanation in the coal scam and said: "JPC called him he didn't turn up. What Parliamentary Affairs Minster Kamal Nath say and what PM do is different."
"The Prime Minister knows his government has no answers on the coal scam and the missing files," he added.
Meanwhile, Sushma added that the government has accepted two amendments given by her party in the Pension bill.
Speaking on the Telangana issue, Sushma, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said that the BJP wanted to pass on Telangana in the Monsoon session but the UPA government did not support the move. "We wanted a bill on Telangana in this session. That would have ended the uncertainty, now they should bring Telangana bill in the first day of Winter session," said Sushma.
