Home Minister is likely to visit the naxal-affected Gadchiroli district.
Nagpur:Home Minister P Chidambaram is likely to visit the naxal-affected district of Gadchiroli in Maharasthara on Tuesday.
He will arrive at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in the morning from Mumbai. Later, he will head for Gadchiroli and after a brief halt there, Chidambaram will return to Mumbai in the evening, they added.
Ahead of the visit, Naxals set afire a gram panchayat building in Dhanora tehsil of the district on Monday morning, the police said, adding no one was injured.
The Maoists also blocked the Gadchiroli-Raipur Highway by felling a couple of trees near Koolbhatti area. The traffic was disrupted for over a couple of hours, they added.
