A pro-reservation group seeks implementation of quota in educational streams for which admission processes has not yet begun.
Chennai: The Campaign Committee for reservation, has demanded an ordinance to implement the 27 per cent reservation for OBCs for those streams of education, for which admission processes for the next academic year, have not yet begun.
The pro-reservation group, in a meeting, opposed the Centre's decision to implement the reservation in 2007.
Dr G R Ravindranath, Convenor of the Committee, said that in reputed institutions like the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi, admissions were yet to commence and demanded that reservation be offered there this year itself.
