BANGALORE: The sleuths of Women and Narcotic Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested two Nigerians for selling cocaine. About 120 grams of cocaine worth Rs 4 lakh and other items have been seized. The accused have been identified as John Odim Kalu alias Imanual alias John, 33, and his brother Onyekachi Kalu, 28, both from Akrelia in Nigeria. The duo were presently residing at Pai Layout in Mahadevapura police station limits. According to the police, the brothers had come to India on business purpose. They had started a garment export business in the city, and after suffering loss, the duo sold cocaine.“They were caught while selling cocaine at Pai Layout. Among the accused Onyekachi Kalu’s visa is expired and he is staying without any documents in India. Efforts are on to nab his associates,” police added. The police seized cocaine, two passports, Rs 13,840 cash, four mobile phones, debit cards, a two wheeler and Nigerian currencies. A case has been registered in Mahadevapura police station in this connection.In another case, the same police wing arrested Ashwin M C, 30, a resident of Gurumurthy Street in Halasur, and seized cocaine and marijuana worth Rs 30,000, mobile phone and cash. The police said that he was caught while selling drugs near Halasur Metro station. He used to get cocaine from Emanuel of Africa, and marijuana from a person in Goripalya. The police are on the look out for Emanuel and a case has been registered in Halasur police station in this connection.
