CBI probes allegations against DIG

KOCHI: The CBI team probing the Unnithan murder attempt case on Friday recorded the statements of two persons following the allegations against S Sreejith, the then DIG of the Crime Branch, that he attempted to sabotage the investigation.The CBI summoned Rema George of Kottayam and P K Harikrishnan Master of Thrissur.Rema George handed over documents carrying details of the harassment she had faced at the hands of Sreejith and the suspended DySP Abdul Rasheed, an accused in the case.She also alleged that the duo had tried to trap her by registering a case under the  Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950. However, the Kottayam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court had acquitted her.
