Call centre worker held for cheating

BANGALAORE: A call centre employee was arrested by the Rajajinagar police for allegedly cheating a 30-year-old woman, who also works at a call centre. The accused Vinod, 30, a native of Vellore,  was reportedly in a live-in relationship with the woman for the past five years at her residence in Bhashyam Circle.According to the police, the woman had come to the city about six years ago and was acquainted with Vinod. Later they had started living together at her residence. Recently, the duo’s parents had also given their consent for their alliance and the wedding was scheduled on November 21. But after the wedding date was scheduled Vinod started to pick up quarrel with her over trivial issues. A month back, she had gone to her native and returned back on Thursday evening. But in the night, she saw Vinod coming home with another girl and introducing her as his wife.“She has filed a case of rape and cheating against him, based on which he was arrested. It has to be verified whether Vinod is married to that girl, whom he brought home, or not. However, it has been learnt that Vinod had maintained relationships with a few other woman as well,” police added.
