BANGALORE: The announcement of byelection to the Udupi-Chikmagalur parliamentary constituency has upset Chief Minister D V Sadanand Gowda’s plans to expand his Cabinet and present his maiden state budget in March. “I had planned to present the budget on March 9. Now with the byelection dates announced, I will present it only after the election owing to the poll-code,” the CM said here on Friday. He added that the appointment of the Lokayukta too would be done after the byelection. Meanwhile, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Kumar said the Cabinet which met on Friday decided to convene the budget session from March 21.
