BANGALORE: The 4,000 odd cases related to examination matters like internal assessment marks, non-issuance of marks cards, faulty marks cards, non-declaration of results of Bangalore University will be placed before a proposed examination adalat that will comprise a retired High Court judge.
Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University Dr N Prabhu Dev told this at a special meeting of the Academic Council on Monday.The cases registered from 2001 to 2009 when the University introduced OMR sheets will be dealt with at the adalat. The examination adalat and the presence of a retired High Court judge will ensure transparency, feels the University.

Prabhu Dev said, "The High Court judge is expected to clear 4,000 cases in three months." Four retired judges have been shortlisted for this proposed adalat.

Local inquiry panel

The VC said that the functioning of these colleges is not satisfactory and external agencies like MARG and IIMB or any other agency, have been proposed to conduct a survey.

A proposal to introduce two awards Mr Ramamurthy Best User Award for most efficient use of the library and Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan Gold Medal for the first rank holder in Environmental Science was approved by the council.

Book fair

The VC commented on success of the 4year B Sc course. "Open for the second year, the number of takers for this course is 76," he said.
