TUMKUR: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa led a delegation comprising 20 MLAs and four MPs to the Siddaganga mutt and sought the blessings of Sri Shivakumara Swamiji for a state tour which he claimed to have launched from the mutt on Wednesday to organise the party.Later, the delegation paid a visit to the  Siddalingeshwaraswami temple in Yediyuru near Kunigal. The delegation came in an air-conditioned Volvo ‘Vajra’ bus from Bangalore and had stopped on the way to meet the former CM’s supporters. PWD Minister C M Udasi, Irrigation Minister Basavaraja Bommai, Excise Minister M P Renukacharya, among others, accompanied the former CM.‘Not Behind Any Post’“I blame my 24-day term in jail on fate; though some of my partymen and Opposition members had tried to fix me, I will never criticise them,” was Yeddyurappa’s philosophical reply when questioned on his term in jail. “Even in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, leaders had to face hardship.” Yeddyurappa also claimed that he no longer desired any post either in the state BJP or in the government. He said that his intention was to help the BJP come to power at the Centre. He said the Siddaganga seer did not dole out advice to him in his hour of distress, as he is a great saint.
