KADAPA: Stage is set for the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy in Devuni Kadapa, which will formally commence with Dwajarohanam on Tuesday.Briefing newsmen about the arrangements and rituals to be performed during the festival, temple assistant executive officer Hemachandra Reddy and chief priest Seshacharyulu, said Deeksha Tirumanjanam, Ankurarpanam and Senapathi Vari Utsavam would be performed on Monday, as a prelude to the 9-day festival. Dwajarohanam on Tuesday will formally herald the commencement of the festival. Processional deity would be taken out on Chandraprabha Vahanam on that day. The Lord along with His consorts would be taken out on Suryaprabha, Pedda Sesha, Chinna Sesha, Hanumantha, Kalpavruksha, Sarvabhupala, Garuda, Gaja, Mutyapu Pandir and Aswa vahanams on the following days. Kalyanotsavam would be performed on January 29 and Rathotsavam the next day. The Lord would be taken out on Hamsa Vahanam on February 1. Pushpayagam would be performed on February 2, they said.“Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the festival,” they added.
