Boy rescued at Tirupur bus stand

TIRUPUR: An 11-year-old boy, who was found roaming at the Tirupur old bus stand, was rescued on Thursday. Police sources said that the boy was found roaming around at the old bus stand premises from where he was rescued.  On inquiry, the boy revealed his name as Karthikeyan, son of Mani and Uma and a VI standard student at the government school in his native place Kattur, in Salem district.   According to him, he and his family members had come to Coimbatore for sight-seeing and were returning to Salem by bus, on Thursday.  The boy had  got down at the Old Bus Stand by mistaken.  He was handed over to the staff of SAVE,  an NGO, who  are trying to find his parents based on the information given by him.
