New York: TV classic 'Bewitched' is set to make a comeback as the popular 1960s and 70s sitcom is being remade. Network executives at CBS have ordered a pilot script for a remake of the American sitcom for a potential 2012 to 2013 season show.
The script will be written by Marc Lawrence, best known for his work on big screen rom-coms like 'Miss Congeniality' and 'Two Weeks Notice'.
The original series, which was about a nose-wrinkling witch (Elizabeth Montgomery) and her put-upon mortal husband (Dick York and Dick Sargent), aired from 1964 to 1972 on ABC.
It was turned into a movie in 2005, starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell.
