Ayodhya Weather Today: Chilly and Dry Day Ahead, Clear Skies as Town Gears Up for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha
Ayodhya Weather Forecast: The weather department has predicted a cold day ahead for Ayodhya with minimum temperature around 8-10°C. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 15-17°C. The weather is expected to remain dry with no rain

Ayodhya woke up to low fog on Monday but the visibility is set to improve after 10am as the temple town gears up to be the centre of India’s attention for the Pran Pratishtha or the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir.

The weather department has predicted a cold day ahead for Ayodhya with minimum temperature around 8-10°C. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 15-17°C with very low speed surface winds (2-4kmph) which may add to the chill. The weather is expected to remain dry with no rain.

According to IMD, visibility will start improving to 1,200-1,500 metres after 10am until 5:34pm when the sun sets.

The IMD had last week launched a dedicated webpage to provide weather-related information for Ayodhya and important nearby areas. The webpage contains information on all weather parameters, including temperature, precipitation, humidity, and wind patterns in major languages spoken worldwide, such as Hindi, English, Urdu, Chinese, French, and Spanish.

Weather information for Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, and New Delhi, among other important places, is available on the webpage.

A weather bulletin containing a seven-day forecast and sunrise and sunset timings will also be available to users in both Hindi and English.

The much-awaited consecration event at Ram Temple will be held in a grand ceremony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the rituals. The shrine will be opened to the public a day later.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony will begin at 12:20pm and is expected to end by 1pm. The Prime Minister will then address a gathering of more than 7,000 people, including seers and prominent personalities, at the venue.

A few invitees arrived in Ayodhya on Sunday while others are expected to arrive Monday morning. Lakhs of people are expected to watch the event live on TV and online platforms as the Centre has announced a half-day off on January 22 and many others followed suit.

On January 22, public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and rural banks across the country will also remain closed for half the day. NSE and BSE have also announced a trading holiday.

While more than 7,000 people are on the list of invitees, the select list features 506 A-listers. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and sporting icon Sachin Tendulkar are among the prominent people invited to the event.
