KOCHI: The Chief Minister’s mass contact programme will be held at the Collectorate Ground on Saturday.Over 7,000 petitions were received till November 10. More than a thousand people are expected to participate in the event. The district administration has made arrangements similar to Thiruvanathapuram and Kozhikode.Separate counters have been set up for each department. A media centre is arranged for announcing and displaying the declarations by the Chief Minister.Basic facilities, including potable water, sanitation etc, have been provided for the public. The Chief Minister is expected to announce a financial assistance up to Rs 1 crore for the district. The cases requiring immediate action will be initiated on the same day.Land possession certificate and title deeds will be given priority. Additional bus services will be operated to the venue from across the district. Private buses will ply late into the night. Ambulance and a medical team will camp at the site for first aid.
