BHUBANESWAR: A day after campus violence was reported from various colleges of the City, students’ union election in Maharshi College of Natural Law has been put off. The college had witnessed clashes between two groups on Friday leading to injuries to a few. With tension prevailing, the college authorities decided against holding the election on schedule. Uncertainty also prevails in holding of election in BJB Autonomous College which saw a clash between two groups on Friday. Although there was no untoward incident from the campus on Saturday, fights were reported from outside. The college authorities have decided to keep a watch on the situation for a week before taking any decision.NON-STUDENTS  DETAINED: Two non-students were found roaming on Utkal University Campus allegedly consuming alcohol and creating nuisance on Saturday evening. They were spotted by the students and handed over to Sahid Nagar Police.  The two have been detained. Police said the two apparently consumed liquor in their car on the campus and creating ruckus. When they were spotted, they had to bear the ire of the students.
