PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry government has posted R Chandrasekharan, deputy director (civil supplies), Karaikal, as regional administrator (RA) in the troubled Yanam region. R Arunachalam, deputy director revenue (south), Puducherry has been posted as regional administrator of Mahe. Two IAS officers J Ashok Kumar, Regional Administrator of Mahe and A Muthamma, sub-collector (revenue), north has been posted as sub-collector (revenue), South Puducherry and sub-collector (revenue), Karaikal respectively. Muthamma will also hold additional charge of deputy director civil supplies, Karaikal.A Vincent Rayar, temporarily officiating as deputy director (RD), local administration department has been posted as deputy collector (revenue), North.New Assembly Secretary R Anbajagane, deputy collector (excise) has been given the additional charge of secretary Assembly. V Viramouniradjou, joint registrar of cooperative societies will also hold additional charge of Hindu Religious Institutions, relieving R Arunachalam of this charge.Meanwhile, the government has posted a Pondicherry Civil Service (PCS Officer) to head the Commercial tax department by transferring and posting L Kumar, joint secretary as deputy commissioner (commercial taxes), Puducherry. He will be relieving M Raje Saker, assistant commissioner. G Kankumg Maram, director art and culture has posted as joint secretary (home).
