Accused mull anticipatory bail pleas

HYDERABAD: Facing the heat from CBI raids, some of the prime accused, including MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, are reportedly contemplating filing anticipatory bail petitions.“We don’t want to take any chances as the CBI is closing in. Moving an anticipatory bail petition is being seriously considered,” a close aide of Jagan and a former minister told Express.According to sources, IAS officer B P Acharya, who may face arrest in the Emaar case, is also thinking of a similar step.Acharya, at present principal secretary (home), is said to have already consulted some senior lawyers. However, they are said to have advised him against it. CBI however may take some time deciding on arrests.
