THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: H R Bhardwaj, Governor of Karnataka, holding additional charge of Kerala, said that he was deeply shocked and saddened at the demise of Governor M O H Farook. In a condolence message, Bhardwaj said that Farook was a political leader par excellence who was in the forefront in the struggle for Puducherry’s liberation and adorned several high positions such as Chief Minister, Central Minister, Ambassador and Governor with distinction and his contributions would be remembered for long.Bhardwaj is holding additional charge since January 16.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that M O H Farook was one of the able administrators and popular leaders the country had seen.“As a political leader and proven administrator, Farook had made his notable mark,” KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala said.Speaker G Karthikeyan, Finance Minister K M Mani, Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed, Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty, Rural Development Minister K C Joseph, Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb, Labour Minister Shibu Baby John, Health Minister Adoor Prakash, Excise Mini s t e r K Ba b u , Panchayat Minister M K Muneer, Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan, Transport Minister V S Sivakumar also mourned the death.
