3 friends lose their lives in bid to save friend from drowning in Sone river

Three children were drowned and another went missing as they went for bath in Sone River at Jagodih Ghat in Bihar's Rohtas district.

Police officials said bodies of Akash Kumar, Anand Kumar and Vicky Kumar have been recovered while divers are searching for the fourth missing boy Pawan Kumar.

All the four were in the age group of 11-12 years.

Police said the rising water level could have led to the incident.

Eyewitnesses said as one boy lost his balance and tilted in the tides, his three friends tried to wriggle him out but similarly got drowned.
