HYDERABAD: Two officials, one working with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the other at the AP Legislative Assembly, were on Monday caught with disproportionate assets worth over Rs. 1 crore each in searches conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths.An official release by the ACB said the raids were conducted based on on reliable information against the two officials.The sleuths raided the residences, offices and other connected places of the two officers.Both the officers are residents of Narkuda village in Shamshabad mandal of Ranga Reddy district.K Kumar Goud, deputy executive engineer of JNNURM Wing of GHMC was caught with assets worth Rs. 1.42 crore as per registration value.Kumar was also in possession of five independent buildings, 10 open plots, five acres land, a Indica Vesta car, a scooter and a bike.The other official, M Raghuma Reddy is the section officer in the Assembly.ACB sleuths searched his house and other premises and found him to be in possession of 11 residential plots in and around Shamshabad, a commercial complex in which a school is located, a car, two mini-vans and two motorcycles all worth `1 crore as per registration value, the release said.The market value of these assets would be much more than the registration value, officials said.“Both the accused officers are being arrested and further investigation is in progress,” the release said adding that the searches are still going on.
