HYDERABAD: The 104 Employees Association has served a strike notice on the state government. The association has threatened that all the 475 104 medical service vehicles will go off the road if the state government fails to concede their charter of demands by October 10.Though the association submitted memorandum to the government on September 23, there has been no response from it to their demands, association general secretary R Ravinder said.Speaking to Express, he said the state government was trying to reduce the number of employees working in the medical service from 3,000 to 1,000.Besides ensuring job security to all the employees, he said the government should pay salaries to them in accordance with the GO No 3 considering them as contract employees of the state government.Association president T Jayaprakash Reddy said the state government was not supplying enough stock of medicines to 104 vehicles. He demanded six months paid maternity leave to women employees of the 104 service.About 1,200 call centre employees of the medical service for rural poor had already gone on strike demanding solution to their problems.
