How to Use Hashtags on Slack on PC or Mac
This wikiHow teaches you how to use hashtags to create links to Slack channels on your PC or Mac.
Steps

Go to https://slack.com/signin in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer to sign in to Slack.

Enter your workspace URL and click Continue. You only need to enter the first part (your team name), as the rest is filled in.

Enter your login information and click Sign in. You are now signed in to your team’s workspace.

Click a channel or direct message. The conversation will appear.

Type a message. If you don’t want to send a message along with your hashtag, you can skip this step.

Type # followed by the channel name. For example, to link to a channel called “wikiHow,” type #wikiHow.

Press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return. The hashtag (and your message, if you entered one) now appear in the chat. The hashtag is a clickable link that others can follow to access that channel.

What's your reaction?
